A: Our 3 most popular screens:

– The Traditional Insect Screen. 18×14 Fiberglass Mesh is the most common. This screen keeps out most insects (minus No-See-Ums) and debris, and can withstand the elements.

– Do you have No-See-Ums? Phifer offers a 20×20 Mesh called No-See-Um screen. This is stronger than the traditional 18×14 mesh, and keeps those nasty little pests out!

– Do you need a tougher screen, for larger animals or perhaps, golf balls? Phifer and Rescreen Rescue offer a screen called TuffScreen. This is a much stronger screen, gives a little more privacy, and also offers the No-See-Um protection.

A: To clean your screen enclosure or window screens, you’ll just need a bucket, some dish soap, a brush with soft bristles, and your garden hose. Use the brush to gently scrub the screens and frame with warm soapy water.

Then, rinse with your garden hose and allow them to dry. If you need something a little stronger, pressure-washing is an option, but we recommend a professional, as it can rip older screen if done improperly. Let us know, and we can get you a quote!
